This American born fashion designer’s work has a Latin flavor that has influenced fashion since the 1970s. His passion for details is evidenced in his tuxedo collection. The collection includes The Oscar de la Renta Black Dimension with a double satin shawl collar lapel and The Oscar de la Renta Black Contour two button satin notch double lapel tuxedo.

Oscar de la Renta took a designing class with one of Europe’s top couturiers, Cristobal Balenciaga. Early in his career, he worked in New York for Elizabeth Arden. He left Arden to design for Jane Derby Ltd. and after Derby’s death in 1969, he took over the company and renamed it Oscar de la Renta. He has launched women’s accessories, men’s clothing, sportswear and perfume lines as well as a collection of home furnishings.
